Drawdown is calculated on balance (not equity) during the Ability Challenge, meaning open floating positions do not count until trades are closed. Because the model is static (not trailing), the floor never adjusts upward — but the absolute dollar buffer grows as the account grows, providing proportionally greater protection at higher balance levels.
